Profile:
Toktam Hemmati is an expert in fabric and fashion design and a senior expert in visual communication. She started his career in 1997 by designing costumes and sets for theater and short films. Nowadays she works as a senior fashion designer product development designer and fiber artist in collaboration with cultural-artistic and industrial projects, domestic and foreign brands, and companies.

Artistic Journey:
Most of Toktam Hemmati’s activities are based on the study and investigation of the concept of sustainability in the context of Iranian culture and identity, and sustainable fashion and industrial projects. In this regard, she has held numerous workshops, lectures, and exhibitions in the field of sustainable fashion, tapestry, recycled art, design of fashion industrial projects, experimental design and zero waste design, and sustainable design, in various schools and cities, and as a judge in numerous domestic and foreign festivals. has cooperated.

Notable Works:
“Sustainable Geometry” is one of the notable works of Toktam Hemmati, which was done jointly with Reza Babajani and was exhibited in the Iranshahr Gallery. This work is designed based on Zero West clothing patterns’ structure and on accurate geometry without negative space. In it, the possibilities of Iranian geometry patterns and (specifically) square armband knotting have been used. This artwork is placed in the category of sustainable fashion garments, its pattern is without fabric waste and it is used without gender (common for men and women).
