The art project “Entertainment in Public”, designed by Iranian artist and documentarian Taha Zaker, explores the history of the guillotine and public executions in France. Through artistic installations and interactive designs, the exhibition immerses audiences in the experience of the guillotine and the historical narratives surrounding it. Each room is dedicated to a key historical figure, such as Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette, and Olympe de Gouges, and uses visual art and sound to recount stories of execution, resistance, and the social impact of the era. The exhibition is curated by Hoda Sargardan and produced by Houman Dayhimi and Samira Baradari. The aim of the exhibition is to establish a deep connection between history and contemporary discussions on capital punishment.
